How it works
The entire structural green oak frame is clad with the double or triple glass units (IGUs)and then dry oak coverboards are applied on the face. The system provides a continuous waterproof seal & also helps prevent cold bridging as the oak frame joints are also covered and protected.
Seals

Using 6 x 20 mm profile specialist glazing tapes, the IGU’s are cushioned thus allowing them to “float”. This means the weather tight seals are maintained and the glass is protected as the green oak frame dries out and moves. All weather seals are BBA Certified to provide longevity too.
In addition, free running drainage is built into the system extending the life of the IGU’s. This also prevents the buffeting effect which drives trapped water through the secondary seal. Finally, hidden under the dry oak coverboards, copper flashings are used on the horizontal members and profiled on site in one continuous length using specialist machinery. Style
Opening windows and doors can be fitted into the same system including many ranges from your chosen supplier or we can make oak doors to your design. We also fit aluminum and we can glaze roofs too.
